JACK
I started doing electrical work at 16 but it was a hobby since I was 6. I started working at a steel heat treating factory with a Master Electrician. It was a Summer job but when high school started I asked if I could come in on weekends and work. They jumped on that because by then I did a lot of work on my own and also did welding. Worked mainly on three phase, 120/208 & 277/480 systems through high school and college. Received a degree in Electrical Engineering and worked for Florida Power & Light. Their union went on strike 4 months after I started so I spent the next four months climbing poles, sticking and gloving 13 & 23 KV. I left there after 23 years and bounced around a few States doing basic electrical repair and install work for friends, relatives and a few other lucky people. It gradually expanded to fixing whatever went wrong. I have spent more time in electrical supply stores and home stores than in my house. At 70, I'm retired... unless something breaks.
