enter image description hereenter image description hereMy 3-year-old undersink water filter system stopped working (i.e., no water comes out). I changed the filters but still no water is flowing. Any suggestions on where to look for the blockage? My contractor did not leave a manual for this device and I cannot tell who manufactures it.

  • I took pictures but do not see a function to attach them. – Christine Oct 12 '15 at 0:14

  • Are you certain the cartridges are fully locked in place, and that all valves have been reopened .. and that any plastic tubing is not crimped? – keshlam Oct 12 '15 at 1:40
  • duckduckgo.com/… There ought to be a model number somewhere. That should get you a manual. – Wayfaring Stranger Apr 19 '18 at 18:51

If the filters are the twist-lock type (o-ring that tightens with a 1/4-turn) they may not be fully seated into the filter port. Remove the filters and re-install them making sure to apply enough upward pressure to fully seat the filter. BTW: the Aqua-Pure web page will have this filter. • I was out of town so I am just reading these suggestions. I will try re-installing the filters and write again if that does not resolve the issue. Thank you very much, everyone (and help posting the pictures, too). – Christine Oct 30 '15 at 18:07
  • Thanks again for the suggestions. I re-installed the new cartridges. A small initial trickle but not the water flow I was experiencing before. Is there some place else I should be looking for a clog of some sort? What I can see of the tubes going into the cartridges are clear. – Christine Nov 4 '15 at 19:21
  • Did the water system have a cap to cover the filter opening? If it did and you have it install it in place of the filter and than check for water flow. The cap sometimes will allow the water to by-pass the filter. – ojait Nov 5 '15 at 3:08
  • Also, I noticed that there is a reset button that you should push to reset the filter, try that first. Next, if the supply line that brings the water to the filter, is connected to a saddle valve (a small valve that pierces a copper pipe) turn the small handle once or twice to make sure it's completely penetrated the larger pipe. – ojait Nov 5 '15 at 3:18
  • Christine- did you read the instructions for replacing the filters? I just did and it states that after 625 gallons have been dispensed the shut off meter will shut the flow of water. When replacing the filters each of the two filter types must go to it's assigned port. They should be labeled #1 and #2. As should the ports. Then you need to press the reset button. – ojait Nov 5 '15 at 3:28
