How can I attach threaded rod to a wall stud so that it is on a hinge. The hinge axle will be horizontal so the rod can rotate up and down but not side to side.

The one piece solution I have found is a turnbuckle wall toggle, but I have only found it up to 3/8" threaded rod and I would like 1/2" or 5/8" thread.

The alternative seems to be to attach a swing bolt to some kind of yoke that attaches to the wall stud.

Swing Bolt

What can attach to a wall stud and support a pin/axle going through the eye of the swing bolt? The closest thing I have found is a rigid caster yoke.

It will be indoors.

What do you intend to support with a 1/2" or 5/8" threaded rod? It is highly unlikely that you can get a safe or effective attachment to a single stud with a couple of screws, like the first item you pictured, that would come close to the load capacity of the larger sized threaded rod. So I think there needs to be a broader consideration made here as to actual application being attempted. – Michael Karas Jan 26 '15 at 15:56
