Kind of a complex situation. Using gas water heater as a boiler for an old cast iron radiator. In addition we added a recirculation pump. Everything was working fine but then we had leaking from water heater pressure valve.

That means either the water is too hot, or the pressure is too high. Do you have an expansion tank, or other pressure controlling device? When you heat water in a closed loop the pressure goes up, if it gets to high the T&P valve will open. – Tester101 Oct 19 '14 at 4:38
