I have a 3 level home with two independent HVAC systems. I've just moved in and am becoming acquainted with the systems, and am eager to get smart thermostat setup. I'd ultimately like a setup where the thermostat's/systems work together to optimize heating/cooling.

  1. Top floor bedroom living zone: Carrier infinity gas furnace and AC with an infinity smart thermostat (systxccitc01-b)
  2. Main floor and basement: Goodman gas furnace and AC with old simple scheduling thermostat.

It seems the Carrier infinity is a pretty nice system, but I don't have experience with it. I happened across a reference suggesting the infinity system can be connected to another system to optimize the workload.

I'm familiar with ecobee and really like it.

Any suggestions on how to get this optimally setup? Thanks!
