I have an old sliding screen door at the back of our house that has had issues with falling off the track for a while. In the past I have been able to temporarily fix this by adjusting the height of the roller wheel in the door.

However now the door falls off the track every time, (even after adjusting the roller). I believe now that the roller fitting is so worn it desperately needs replacing.

I've been to a few local hardware stores and searched online without success, and was wondering if someone had some experience with this particular fitting.

A previous answer (https://diy.stackexchange.com/a/140890/48979) had a broken link to a list of replacement rollers, so even a good resource like that may be helpful.

  • Dunno -- but unless there's an aesthetic reason you like the existing door, probably a lot better off just getting a whole new unit installed. Oct 13 '20 at 14:33
