I own a 350ft studio co-op unit which currently has an old AC unit and two electric baseboards for heat. I was thinking it would be nice if I had a single high hat in the middle of the room connected to ductless outdoor unit. This way I can put furniture where the ac and baseboard currently are. The problem is I don't think I'm allowed to mount anything outside.

What is the smallest unit anyone has ever come across? Any other ideas?

Thanks!

The smallest split I have seen is 12000 btu the issue may be drilling the 2” hole through the wall for the condensate and Refrigerant lines. There are even diy models out there that come precharged just have to hook up the power. I posted some info on this a while back if interested I will find the info several screws to hang the inside unit and the hole I think the diy one was ~1200.00.
