I was advised by our well man, Scott (Barmore Pump Co.) to vent our outbuilding's basement where the well pump and holding tank is located, to reduce the moisture & resulting mold that forms on the ceiling. We're running an Ebac dehumidifier which helps but runs nearly all the time! So the plan: I have a bathroom exhaust fan rated for the space (12'x13'x7'h) and will make an insulated vent pipe going out and a vent for the makeup air coming in. My question is: won't this just draw more warm humid air into the space? Or will the evaporation from venting be significant enough to make that a non-issue? Thank you!
