Just wondering if I could get some advice on the optimal way to route the HVAC Exhaust piping. Enbridge replaced the supports underground and before they turned the gas back on they did an inspection and noted a few deficiencies. I managed to rectify two of the three which were a result of the stucco obstructing the threads on the hard pipe and the furnace air intake drawing from inside the chimney.

The third issue was caused by me when I added a kitchen vent 6" to close to the HVAC Exhaust as pictured. When I spoke with the gas tech, he mentioned I could just add a couple 90s and a straight section to meet the 12" requirement. Now my question is should I route it horizontal (+slope) away or go vertical like a snorkel?

Thanks in advanced for the suggestion. enter image description here
