I am applying airstone around my fireplace. I have an area of wall that is slightly bowed. I really don't want to repair drywall. Can I scribe the back of the stone and grind it off (just about a 1/4") to sit tight to the wall. I have never used this product before. Any help is appreciated!

  • We would need more details to answer this. How much area (or number of pieces) of the airstone would you need to grind off? It is not that easy to grind off and make a flat surface. First reaction is that this is NOT the thing to do unless it is a very small area. – Jim Stewart May 20 at 15:55
