I stained my deck with using this product https://www.olympic.com/products/us/exterior-stains/olympic-summit-woodland-oil

Afer two years the heavy traffic area looks likebelow. The rest of the deck is pretty much fine. I still have almost one full original recepient of this stain and I am considering fixing the area in the picture. Should I sand and restain all the planks or just the area where the stain is worn out>? I have some rails that also have limited worn out areas.. can I sand locally and then use the air gun to re apply the stain? The wood is cedar if that matters enter image description here

  • The problem is that stain dies not stick over stain so removing all with a deck stripper is recommended. I find the info at the following link very helpful deckstainhelp.com/category/deck-stripping – Kris May 12 at 17:33
