Jun 10 at 17:38 comment added FreeMan I would guess that the plastic cap is an exterior antenna for remote monitoring of power use. Is there anything printed on it? Include that in your new question asking about what that might be and edit it out of this one.
Jun 10 at 14:17 comment added Ecnerwal Please edit the second question into...a second question. Best guess is the "plastic cap" is actually a surge suppressor. Certainly not "future expansion."

Jun 9 at 19:17 comment added Harper - Reinstate Monica OP you will need to register your account if you want to be able to do those things from a different device. As things are, your account is tied only to browser cookies. Register the account on the browser you originally asked the question on. It's possible to merge accounts but it requires mod intervention and that takes time.

Jun 8 at 21:30 comment added crip659 Depending on your location, that outside panel is used mainly for the main disconnect. Pictures of the inside of the panels will help. Is it two separate 150 amp breakers(two double 150s) or one double 150 amp breaker?
