Instead of the difficult task of adding registers upstairs, you can just take off a carefully-sized new duct directly from the plenum, through the nearest closet wall and into the basement. That will increase capacity and decrease the pressure problems. But it will make the balance even worse. The separate circulation system suggested here will fix that. | |
