I leave the door open. Would a box fan at the bottom of the stairs blowing up accomplish anything? It seems like I would need to seal off all space between the edges of the box fan and the stairwell walls in order to get air movement beyond just making a "sideways cyclone" in the stairwell. But then, what about the resulting negative pressure in the basement? It would pull in hot outdoor air, no? | |
