In hindsight, this probably contributed to misunderstanding it as "I don't need to worry about neutrals for AFCI breakers here". But I guess that's only for the pigtail, not the branch circuit neutral. | |

After your answer I went and found the matching neutral and hooked it up to the breaker, and since then it no longer trips even with loads connected. Thank you! | |
