Aug 11, 2021 at 16:20 comment added Pat K If there is a 14-3 going from fan box to attic outlet, the black would be wired "hot" all the time. (Not switched). If you use the black and red from switch to fan, as described, the attic outlet will only work when the fan is turned on. Also, is the fan/light switch a combo switch? (Two switches on one device). Picture is not clear, but it looks like a single switch.

May 13, 2021 at 1:16 comment added Robert @ threephase - I would like to remove the ceiling fan switch at the other location but it won't become a junction box because there is another switch for outdoor light there.
May 13, 2021 at 0:06 comment added ThreePhaseEel @Robert -- is decommissioning the switch at the other location an option for you? (It'll just become a junction box with a blank cover on it)

May 12, 2021 at 18:07 comment added FreeMan Maybe some pictures WITHOUT disconnecting anything would help. No, actually, pictures will definitely help. Kill the power, then pull all the switches, receptacles, etc. out of each box and get good, clear, focused pics and edit them into your post. Label each so we know what we're looking at, and maybe even include a drawing showing the overall layout.

May 12, 2021 at 17:24 comment added Robert I wish this were a simple ceiling fan wiring but it isn't even close. I have three 14/3 wires and a 14/2 going into my gang box. The 14/2 is providing power to the other 14/3s. One of the 14/3 is being used to control top plug on another outlet for lamp, second 14/3 is ceiling fan wire (I want to use this for 2 switches- a motor and light), third 14/3 used to provide another switch for same ceiling fan on a different wall (don't want switch but need the power because it connects to other outlets somewhere).
May 12, 2021 at 16:40 comment added FreeMan Does this answer your question? How do I wire this ceiling fan?
May 12, 2021 at 15:41 comment added The Ghost of Jon Welcome Robert... your post needs some clarification if it is something that hasn't already been answered on the site. Your question appears to be a duplicate as it stands, and if it is not answered here [diy.stackexchange.com/questions/31055/… then you should edit your post to be as thorough as that question.
