Apr 20, 2021 at 11:55 | comment | added | jay613 | The time and effort is similar. It's an old house that has been severely reconfigured over the centuries. Behind that window is now a linen closet. Emptying and refilling the closet would take an hour. Removing the shelves not too difficult. The window has been boarded up and, I looked, using headless pins (not screws). That's another hour to remove and replace. Then I'm hoping the window mechanism works, the screen doesn't break when I remove it, and goes back in without a monumental fight. So all in all this solution is roughly as daunting as the rest. | |
