GitHub STOP HELPING ICE Re: "only when it cannot work", the heat pump may "work" even at very low temperatures, but its efficiency drops off to the point where it takes the same amount of energy to pump the heat as the amount of heat it moves, making it no better and eventually worse than simply dumping energy through resistors.
