Jan 22, 2018 at 12:25 comment added Stian If the plumbing gets isolated then you have a one-fault->death setup. So not a good idea, even if it was in compliance. There could also be dc voltage differences between two different earths due to galvanic connections, temperature differences and so on, which could lead to interesting corrosion.
