comment Can I realistically replace my drill with a rotary hammer?
I can't find the it online. I went with a cheap local brand that usually have good quality/price ratio... but not that time. :(

I find it harder to control my drilling speed with my rotary hammer drill than my regular hand drill. Mind you, it might be the brand/quality/features of my hammer drill.

Are you missing some 0s in your table's measurements? 14cm x 7cm (98cm²) with 6 legs of 6cm x 6cm (216cm²) I would say that will be pretty solid, no matter what type of wood... :) Also, a drawing or picture might help.

comment Cleanest way to empty shop vac?
Can you buy filter bags for your unit? Can you install a cyclone collector? (This won't clean it but, it will reduce the number of times you have to empty it.)

comment When does sanding(smoothing out wood surface) sensibly apply
If I miss a spot, I would re-sand the whole surface where the spot is. The goal would be to avoid two coats of stains on the edge of the spot that I would have fixed. If you are really really accurate, you could just sand the spot and stain it and avoid the 2 coats on the edges... I'm not that accurate.

@Comintern Thanks everyone, I've used a razor blade with a handle and it worked great. I have no more varnish spots on my mirror!

Do they tend to appear after you wash your floors? Did the treatment correctly seal the knots? How do you wash your floors?

LifeTime Wood Treatment I've never used this product and I'm not associate with this company, but I've heard of their products before. You might want to check it out and find something similar close to your own area.

comment Oil Spots on Laundry
I'm not sure if this is related, but we used to use fabric softener sheets in our dryer and these sheets were actually leaving some oil-ish marks on our cloths. These marks were more visible when ironing. In the end, we stop using those sheets and the oil-ish marks were after a couple of washes. This article discuss the issue we were having.
