Why can I see roller marks after I painted? How many coats? I'm guessing just one. That's why we put on more than one coat of paint. |

Where to find Adapter for E-11 or E-14 to E-26 light socket @James, it doesn't say which Georgia (there are more than one). Assumption is the mother of all stuff-ups. |

How can I make a bedroom with lots of windows darker? I believe the time tested solution to this problem is called curtains. |

Where to find Adapter for E-11 or E-14 to E-26 light socket What is a "standard light socket" where you are? There are numerous different designs which are considered standard in different places. |

How can I fireproof a room? I would advise against putting such a device in such a vulnerable location. May as well stack dynamite next to the open fire. |

How should I tile under kitchen cabinets? +1 When we do our kitchen it will definitely be cabinets before tiling, for those very reasons. One additional reason, depending somewhat on how the floor is constructed, If there is any movement at a later stage that causes gaps to appear (perhaps just tiny cracks in the grout) you may well have problems with water getting through in areas you can't even see, let alone get to for repair. Remember, a kitchen is a wet area and must be treated accordingly. |

Is there quick setting “gap filling” adhesive? What is the material the adhesive needs to work with? |

Should I extend my house upward or knock down and build from scratch? Too localised and too subjective. When it all boils down our opinions on this are irrelevant because we have no real information to base those opinions on. We know nothing about your circumstance, your house, your land, your local regulations, etc., etc. |

How can I determine the maximum wattage that I can hook up to a breaker? That formula is for DC. For AC you also need to consider power factor, although for heating alone it's usually not a real concern. Just be aware that as a general rule it's not the correct formula for AC. |
