I'm the sole developer for a publishing house, doing on-line courses and exams.

We have a web designer, who typically does layouts and courses, but I do anything that involves programming logic.

I recommend not doing this at all. But, if you insist on playing with electricity and water, might I suggest flashlight bulbs/LEDs and batteries as a power source.

The heat of the element will cause a temperature differential between the inside and the water cooled outside of the glass of the bulb, almost definitely cracking it. Now you've got 120/240 v going through a short circuit.

Can you provide us a quick sketch of what you want to do? Post an MS paint or other drawing tool to the image host of your choice, and one of us will inline it for you.

Are we sure it's actually Liquid Nails? It could be generic construction adhesive.

comment How do I extend existing 10/3 wiring to run a compressor that needs 12/2 wiring?
At this point, I can't tell what's going on, and withdraw all advice. Something's not standard here, and I think you should call an electrician.

Not really. At $350, I can get a lot of electrical work done.

If the compressor is running off 12/2, then it's 120 v.

Is there any type of breaker that will flip circuits -- Ensuring the compressor and kiln can't be used at the same time?
