comment Why is my bathroom floor raised up very high?
In my bathroom there's no "shower", I have a bathtub that just stands on the floor so there's no drain inside the floor, yet that whole floor is raised (something like an inch). I guess there's big reason behind this.

A photo would be useful.

Plan A looks promising. I guess epoxy-based compounds would work.

@RedGrittyBrick: That would work for through holes, but not for the hinges - those require holes of exactly the right depth and will completely even bottom and that requires a router. One minor deviation - and the panel is cut through and that's a permanent damage.

@woodchips: That's not a big problem. The anchor has to be force-hammered and then it will compact and will hold the screw quite well. So yes, you're right that it won't work the same way as if it would work in concrete, but it will work in another way.

@Tester101: Wow. Where I live if one wants metal shielding he uses metal hose around the cable. And doing so inside a kitchen cabinet is not a usual practice.

Just curious, what's the shiny flexible pipe inside the cabinet?

@RedGrittyBrick: Relocating hinges is usually very hard - the part on the door is hidden inside a cylinder hole that needs to be routed and is very hard to do without a router.

comment How do I know if my power drill needs to rotate clockwise or counter clockwise to drill forward?
@supertonsky: Yeap, the manual is right (and the drawings in it are correct), but the drill case has letters R and L swapped. Excellent video btw.

comment Is it safe to cut throught a 70mm spruce beam with a Metabo jigsaw?
@Antoine: The problem is likely with the wet chips getting stuck inside the cut - you could pause cutting, retrieve the jigsaw, then put it back and continue - that should help remove the wet chips.
