Why do some table saws have a direct and a reverse ruler on the fence? Note that the second row of numbers starts at 32, not at zero. |

Do I have to remove the existing 6' fence posts to install an 8' metal fence? If all else fails you can do the following: remove some of concrete or ground into which the posts are set, cut just below surface, weld new posts to leftovers of old posts, then either paint the welded joints, or cover them in concrete to protect them from rust. |

Is this water damage, dry rot, or just old age? Doesn't look like any kind of water damage - that would leave stains. Wood breaking easily during inspection is most likely rotten big time. |

How can I use bulk electrical wire to make a subfloor heating system? @ChrisF: It looks like he's asking exactly about that - how to buy "proper components" and craft the heating system from them. |

What does the inspector mean by “Hot and Neutral are not separated”? If "hot and neutral" are not separated you just get a short. |

My cordless drill is smoking, is that bad? I'd say the drill is gonna die and it is likely a warranty-covered death. This is specific drill is professional, so it almost surely has overload protection that should limit the current when there's serious overload. I guess this protection simply didn't kick in and this is a warranty-covered incident. |

Are all epoxy created equal? Just curious - are you using epoxy anchors or glue the sink directly to the slab? |

How do I remove a drill bit that is stuck due to an overtightened chuck? @alx9r: They won't damage the chuck if the chuck is wrapped in cloth. |

How do I remove a drill bit that is stuck due to an overtightened chuck? Strange. The typical procedure is like in this video youtube.com/watch?v=usC8unA5RiA - you loosen the chuck open wide and then unscrew a screw inside. |

How do I remove a drill bit that is stuck due to an overtightened chuck? Nope, this will likely damage the plastic chuck exterior big time and if you repeat that you'll likely get all the plastic stripped and the result will be really ugly and not very usable. |
