What wires do I need to run to my wall mounted tv? This seems like it's got more to do with your setup than anything else. You need to run all the cables that you need to connect to the TV for whatever devices you plan to hook up to it, right? |

Why do some table saws have a direct and a reverse ruler on the fence? @LuizBorges I think it would work with any length if you marked you starting point, but yeah it does seem somewhat impractical. |

Why does my heating system only blow cold air? +1 - I've seen this on a lot of heat pumps. |

Should I be concerned about my house settling? The issues existed when I moved in but I believe they have gotten worse. However I also obsessively look at them so it could be all my perception. This is a good suggestion since it would allow me to quantify the problem. I did check the foundation and there are no cracks at all except between the slab for the front stoop and the main house. |

Should I be concerned about my house settling? I should also clarify, this wall is a two-story wall that goes the entire height of the house. The big area with all the nails popping out is on the stairway to the upper level. |

Should I be concerned about my house settling? Nope, no work has been done at all since I moved in. The previous owners did add central AC which runs through the attic but I can't imagine that would matter here either. They also redid the kitchen probably 5-6 years ago (added an island, stone counters, etc). |

Any US building codes about a door opening into a hallway near a stairway? It's a safety thing. Doors swing in to rooms in buildings because it makes it nearly impossible to be trapped in the room by falling debris outside. If the door swings OUT, and you are in the bathroom when something happens, it's much more likely that something will block the door. |
