How can I install T molding on concrete subflooring? Thanks for the answer. It seems like this would be a bit of work and I'm not 100% sure I'm a fan of drilling into the concrete. +1 for a detailed option. |

How do I cut a brick fireplace hearth to allow for a laminate flooring expansion gap? So you dont think this would look bad if the flooring does not run parallel with the fireplace? If not, I guess this wouldnt be too bad. |

Why does the hot water run cold at less than 'full throttle'? Assuming you have a double basin kitchen sink, you could fill one sink with wash water and the other with rinse water. That doesnt solve your problem, but could reduce the amount of water used and get you hot water. |

What type of sump pump back up systems are available? Thanks for the answer, the water source would be municipal. I think it wouldn't be too hard to install a water backup pump since the washer is right next to the sump. I do like the idea of using an electric pump as the 'main' pump then having the water as a backup, although that would cost me a few more $. Thx for the advice |
