What debuzzing coil should I use to get rid of lamp hum? Are you sure that a 10µH coil is going to work? I showed this circuit to my EE friend who concluded that the coil would be saturated and useless, so the dimmer would see a capitative load and potentially blow as a result. He calculated that it would need a 145mH coil instead (which is expensive!). I'm afraid I'm beyond my EE ability with this project, so I will probably go with a standard debuzzing coil, or just live with them hum. :) Thanks for all of your effort! |

How can I add a carbonated water tap in my kitchen? I like the sound of your setup. What is the procedure to carbonate the water? Does it automatically periodically draw water/CO2 into the corny keg to stay topped-up? Or do you make individual "batches"? Any other details or photos you can share would be wonderful! |

What debuzzing coil should I use to get rid of lamp hum? I tried a GBPC3504WDI (same as your suggestion, but rated up to 400V) and the buzzing became even louder. The doubled frequency is perhaps closer to this bulb's resonant frequency. I will scrap the rectifier and might try the coil instead. |

What debuzzing coil should I use to get rid of lamp hum? This means I'm giving DC voltage to the bulb, right? Do I need a smoothing capacitor, or will the full-wave rectified sine waveform be enough to stop the buzzing? |
