Why won't my clothing iron work in one outlet but works in others? @maple_shaft, thanks! I just ordered a no contact voltage tester on Amazon. That $20 should save me some money on visits from the electrician for simple stuff like replacing an outlet or installing a new flood light. |

Why won't my clothing iron work in one outlet but works in others? Your diagnosis was correct. I jiggled the plug a bit and the light came on. I tried pinching the prongs in, and that didn't help. In then end bending the prongs apart seemed to fix it. Thanks! |
