If it involves computers or electronics, I probably do it.

I have experience with Exchange, Sharepoint, Zabbix, Powershell, Hyper-V clusters, and a whole host of other things.

If you need to contact me, my email address is grant@emsley.ca

comment How can I determine why my lights flicker when the A/C is running?
Did the voltage stay low the whole time the ac was on, or did it go back up once the ac had gotten started?

isn't the left one at the top right a single pole breaker? Many boxes will take single or tandem breakers, you use the tandem kind when you run out of slots and want to add more circuits.

But in wiggling the wire, your probably also wiggling the sensor a bit, so it may still be the sensor.

comment Electric shock - was I stupid, unlucky, or a combination of both?
@NateKerkhofs however if the other side of your body is well grounded (barefoot on concrete, or holding a metal pipe for support) at the time it can easily be fatal. So despite it usually being just unpleasant, we should be extra careful to not let it happen at all. I hate north america's plug design - there are many safer designs but we are stuck with once you can easily get shocked by.

There's no such thing as a "standard black wire cable"! What is it for?

comment Is there a keyed switch that can be used to power off a subpanel?
You might not want to shut ALL the power off on a regular basis...workshops can be quite dangerous in the dark.

As Chris said, we need to know exactly how you measured this voltage.

comment What kind of glue is best for a black plastic kitchen appliance (ABS plastic)?
After you are done you may want to pick up a cheap microwave radiation leak detector card to ensure the fixed latch is holding the door fully closed.

comment Should I be using wire nuts to connect my light socket?
@speedypetey Every time you redecotate and want a different fixture. Every time you break it (I'm clumsy, edison base sockets are fragile). Over the course of 50 years it adds up.
