How to remove construction adhesive from concrete? @shirlockhomes I agree with you, but in the context of this answer: if there's a sure-fire way to gum-up and run through sanding pads quick it's with urethane glues. |

How can I replace a board in floating wood floor? I think I understand... Remove the bottom of the groove on the new board, clear the groove on the intact board... Insert the tongue of the new board into the existing groove on the intact board, then set and weight the top-half of the modified groove on the new board? |

How can I replace a board in floating wood floor? Do you think the board will be stable with only a single tongue on one side of the board? What will keep it from flapping? |

Can I vent a bathroom fan through the eaves? +1 for the tip of putting the flex duct insulation over the rigid duct! Also, I agree that it's preferable to exit through the gable or roof. |

Can I use a threaded rod for a rafter tie? @HerrBag I'd need to measure the angle of the roof for that, and I haven't done so. I was just planning on matching the failure point of douglas fir, since I know it an be used in new-construction for this purpose.... Also I'm not doing every rafter, for 24" OC I can tie every other rafter. |
