comment How would I go about building a movable-arm keyboard & mouse tray?
There are adjustable, lockable keyboard arms, such as this one

@DA01 sounds like an answer (even if it is an unwelcome one).

comment Ceiling fan lights flicker with fan off, but go to normal with fan on
If there are no loose connections, this is time to question the remote control module in the fan. Incandescents don't flicker (unless there is a loose wire). You may need to invoke warranty.

comment How should I attach the grounding conductor for a replacement switch?
@SpeedyPetey While the screws, in theory, provide electrical connection, the strapping of the switch sitting on the box's flanges is a much better connection. But with variable depth on boxes and plaster crap around the boxes, I don't trust mechanical connections.

comment Can you install an LED floodlight in a regular ceiling fan?
If you mean candelabra bases when you say tiny screws, there are now small LED bulbs with those bases so you can avoid the adapters.

comment Can I add a three way switch to a light circuit when I only have access to light switch and it just cuts the power to the switch?
@Tester101 Thanks much for the illustration and the note. My old school ways keeps blanking out the neutral-at-switch rule, even though you keep reminding us (thankfully).

comment When ordering lumber what percentage of waste should be expected?
Many better lumber yards let the contractor (or homeowner) pick through the order at the yard to avoid the crap. And many will take back and replace the crap that is delivered to site (assuming you did not pre pick it).

comment Options for insulating a ceiling that is already finished (former 3 season room)
Is the ceiling high enough to drop it 6-8" or so? If so, you can create a dropped ceiling with insulation between the new ceiling joists.

comment What should I do about multiple feeds on the same light switch?
It sounds like wires downstream are at risk since you could pull way more amperage than the rating of either breaker without tripping them. That means the wires, switches and fixtures could be pushed beyond their capacity. It seems essential to correct the crossed circuits.

comment Should I use traditional 2x4 framing or 1x3 grid framing for a New England basement remodel?
+1 for content, but retarded is a term that is considered by many as disrespectful of individuals with developmental disabilities. Perhaps very ill advised instead? Or even stupid?
