comment How do I troubleshoot my central A/C?
I'm thinking I've pretty much confirmed it's just not working... the power is running to it, fan outside is on in the unit, but no cool air is coming through... just outside temperature air...

I mean... It's semi-cool I suppose... Definitely cooler than the air in the room...

It's central AC. This is a new construction, 2360sq ft 2 story with finished basement so vents running there too. We have a Nest 2nd gen thermostat. I've checked outside and the AC is running... The thermostat is set at between 69 and 71 but obviously it never reaches that

comment Should I be able to run some 1.5" PVC chase conduits from attic to basement next to a cold air return?
Thank you! I've determined that the gap in the air ventilation is no longer feasible in my eyes for what I'd love to accomplish. I've done this by viewing an identically built house on a different street that is still in pre-drywall stages. I've taken pictures of all of it for future reference to help aid a different location. I'm not sure whether I should try posting my new location as an update to this question just for clarification of what ended up working or not.

I guess my biggest concern is, do you think there is commonly enough space to do what i'm wanting to do? Is there usually obstructions in that little gap?

comment Can I run computer network wiring next to the furnace exhaust?
Your comment might be able to add insight to my question about running PVC conduit along side a cold air return gap I've discovered in some photos taken of my house pre-drywall. Could you add anything to this? diy.stackexchange.com/questions/24823/…
