comment What can I do to a chain link fence to make it dog proof?
You can make a DIY version of this with PVC pipes suspended on wire run along the top of the fence. I did this with a wooden fence by installing the wire/pipes between the tops of the wooden fence posts. Not sure on the best way to secure it with a chain-link fence.

comment Can I build 11' x 5.5' loft with 2x2x8 beam and 2x4 joist?
If you have a 2x8 around the parameter, why are you using 2x6 for the floor joists? From your plans it looks like you are already 8" deep so why not make each joist 2x8?

comment What's the recommended drainage groove on stone counter top in kitchen?
If this is to handle runoff from a dish drying rack, look at the size of a normal dish rack and make it about that big.

comment Should I expect a level ceiling when my kitchen was completely gutted?
I didn't mean to imply that you had to change the joists to level a ceiling. I was trying to get at the "blame" side of this question. My point was if they were doing any work on those joists you should expect the end result to be level. If all they did was take down drywall (or maybe just put holes in it for wiring and leaving the rest up), then it really depends on how for "off" it is.
