I believe it's an awning window. There's a bit of space on the inside cill to place some form of noise blocking substance.

Hi Chris, thanks for your answer. We did have some issues with the radiators similar to how you describe and there is trapped air in there for sure. However, when we had those issues we did get some heat out of the radiators that had problems and some of them were completely fine whereas others had the problems. At present none of the radiators come on at all.

Thanks for the response. I don't - but I think it would make sense for it to be the same brand as the old one, which is a Honeywell. I was just going to check eBay for the cheapest to be honest.
