comment Why is my sink's drain pipe connection angled?
Yes, that's better. Looks like that top piece is a built in vent? Does the connecting piece from the sink have that same sharp bend?

any way you could get a profile picture of that? I suspect someone tried to compensate for the angled drain pipe but just made it worse and gave up lol.

Why not install a surge outlet for the tv? Do you have access to the wall from the attic or basement?

comment How do I rebuild a large fence gate?
@JeffB there already exists the exact metal post you are thinking of... contractors.masterhalco.com/Contract.nsf/woodpostmaster double two of these up back to back and it will be a really strong post. You can drill holes in it to attach hanger bolts for the gate hinge or just use strap hinges. check the install instructions

comment Why would a dryer take 4 hours to dry after we cleaned out the vent?
Sounds like you might have blocked up the vent while cleaning it. I'd remove the vent from the dryer and see if it's clogged anywhere.

I'm still on the original pad! Just wash it with water after use. For loading it, I carefully sit it on top of the paint in my roller tray and then rub a little off on the roller or the tray. I sure would like to try a sash brush though, because this roller doesn't work good for window trim, pretty much only use it for long straight lines.

@ppumpkin I razor bladed a clean edge from where I had peeled it off and tiled right over it.

@ppumpkin yea I was concerned the paper layer would soak up the moisture in the thinset and melt away the old glue.
