It's probably fine. Stop doing that.

comment Which adhesive sealant for bathroom fixture escutcheons?
This sounds very similar to the process used on the grout colored silicone I've been using. Thanks! Hoepfully this works

comment Which adhesive sealant for bathroom fixture escutcheons?
I have clear silicone and I have non-sanded polyblend siliconized caulk. Where do I put it though? Is it supposed to be seen or not?

comment Supply Elbow doesn't tighten against wall
@Tester101 I was using nothing at first just to test fit but then I put some teflon tape on just to see if that would somehow help. It didn't. I also have paste around here somewhere

Thanks for the great answer. Do you happen to know why I'm running into this issue? Is it common? Did I make some bad assumptions somewhere?

comment How can I route the shower plumbing back into the wall?
Just an idea: Perhaps you could run an exposed pipe straight up into the ceiling rather than going through the wall

comment Is there a reason NOT to use a garden hose to hook up two faucets?
I wonder if using PEX instead might make more sense. It can probably withstand freezing temperatures better than a water hose

comment How to measure and cut square tiles to make a herringbone pattern?
Thanks! One issue I've had in the past was getting a 90 degree angle cut. For some reason the saw blade never seems to match the sled. Do you know of any way to keep them aligned properly?

comment Grouting travertine tiles: grout bag or float?
Why before sticking to the wall? That seems contrary to what I've heard

comment Proper way to install double-layer of subfloor?
Understanding the building materials properties is not common sense. To understand MFG specs, you have to first know which materials to use. This is also not common sense.
