comment Should I insulate the garage in the home I'm having built?
If it will also be your shop, consult with your electrician about increasing the number and placement of outlets and individual circuits befor the insulation goes up.

comment Might I have 2 vents for my gas dryer?
Is the dryer is old enough that it has a pilot light? The lint may have blocked the vent door open. A large gust of wind may have blown out the pilot light.

comment How to vent a 2nd clothes dryer?
I checked the installation manual for several popular brands. They all require the use of a back draft damper for each unit when venting multiple dryers in a common duct. ( another expense)

Do you have a piled stone foundation or poured concrete? Do you have gutters and down spouts that are working correctly?

comment Can I use backer rod and adhesive to fill in the gap between the toilet and the ceramic tile floor?
As the toilet base can be a source of moisture be it from condensation or accidents use a mold resistant product to fill the gap.

comment How should I remove baking soda from my carpet?
I would try changing the bag even if not full. Baking soda is a fine enough powder that the bags interior may be coated and essentially clogged even though it is not full.

comment Why is water still above elements after draining hot water tank?
I assume you shut off the feed/ inlet valve. Did you open the faucets to allow the water in the pipes to drain back into the tank?

comment Is wood flooring in bathroom a right decision?
From experience, wood anywhere near a toilet used by young boys equals high maintenance.

comment What is this weird plug?
Leaving as a comment as I claim no expertise in continental appliances. I am guessing that the plug has information regarding voltage and amperage on it. A local appliance repair center should have a cord and plug that you can install to match your receptacle. This is assuming that the receptacle meets the minimum requirements of the stove.

comment How hard is it to replace a broken-off toilet seat?
My local hardware store has them available separately. Replacement of the plastic type every two years is much easier than trying to hacksaw off the metal ones after 10 years.

When you are done say a silent "thank you" to the person that invented those plastic non rusting screws

comment Which latch would work with this screen door?
Just a suggestion. Knock on a neighbors door introduce yourself as the new neighbor and ask to look at their door. All the units are likely the same.

comment Fountain maintenance / Repair
I don't know if this feasible as you don't mention the size. Could you cover it with a tarp or sheet of plastic to eliminate most of the evaporation?

comment 1960s bomb shelter a safe place to wait out a tornado?
Many storm prone communities now allow you to register your shelter with a Public Safety Official. In the event the house did collapse they would be aware that you may be trapped in your shelter.
