Should the support structure for a kitchen island be built on top of tiles? Is it going to be 36" or 42" tall? Is he planning to attach it to the floor, or leave it loose? |

How to reduce brightness of recessed LED? Sounds like waaay too much wire coming into a single box |

How can I install a pre-hung door when soundboard has been installed? Sand the joint flush and this should look great. Leaving a "reveal" is still the easiest thing to do, though. No gluing or sanding. |

How to reduce brightness of recessed LED? Not very sure what the situation with the switches is, and why you can't add another dimmer that only dims the LED bulb. Can you explain a bit more? |

What packing material to use between a brick and house beam? Steel works, but wouldn't wood shims be cheaper? You can cut them the exact size you want, and even treat them if you think you need to. |

How do I patch this hole in my vinyl window frame? Yes, it looks just the size of the alarm sensor hole in the link that user156+ posted below. |

Safe way to close gaps around copper pipes? I would first stuff the holes with pieces of fiberglass insulation (not mouse-proof, but close, and insulates!) then add the trim plate as shown above. |
