How can I prevent water from pooling in the street in front of my house? I love how this went from a negative score to the top answer. :P |

How can I prevent water from pooling in the street in front of my house? Go to the pet store, buy Koi, stock puddle. Fish will eat mosquito larvae. Resume drinking margaritas. |

How can I prevent water from pooling in the street in front of my house? It's asphalt, you can break it out with a pick, but you don't need to - the water will drain off it into the well by itself. |

How can I prevent water from pooling in the street in front of my house? That tire track is a clue - cars are making that area depressed and impermeable - so a natural basin for water to pool in. |

How do I deal with a wasp nest? Just walk around your house every once in a while, and take care of these things before they get out of control. |

How can I air-condition a garage without modifying it? Not gonna work - door moves away from the wall as soon as it starts to open. |

How can I air-condition a garage without modifying it? I thought you wrote "under the garage FLOOR" until I read it more closely... :) - but the problem with having the garage door partly open is that there will be a huge gap at the top. |

Should I use concrete, or some other method to fix this entry area? Oops - I take it back - there is mortar in the picture - it's just cracked. |

Should I use concrete, or some other method to fix this entry area? There's no foundation :) - but it is on rock, below all the sand and dirt. The walls are built on stacked CMU's (probably 1 layer). |
