comment Water tempature changes
Most likely it is a flow or pressure issue with the pipes or perhaps some one had closed a valve and didn't fully reopen it.

comment Completely waterproof top of deck/shed (would TigerPaw work?)
Better off building a roof under the deck that sheds water and leaving the spaces between the boards alone. I've seen this done with a metal roof under a deck.

comment Do paint fumes affect electronics?
Fumes, no; aerosolized paint, yes. If you are spray painting (and not rolling/brushing), move the equipment.

comment Is there a way to find rebar in concrete walls?
Ultrasound would work nicely to find the air space that exists in the plastic pipe.

comment Feedback on why constantly draining. It's starting to flood backyard
That might be the condensation drain if that is a gas water heater of the condensing type. If that is so and you have high gas usage there might be a problem with the thermostat resulting the heater running continuously.

comment What's the best way to select windows for heating efficiency? I have an older house in a northern climate
Actually its more like 1 watt to remove 20 watts of heat, so to remove 1000 watts you only need 50 watts of power. Ignoring the cost of moving air around.

comment Convert a switched receptacle to a non switched receptacle
"The rest of the rooms had just one switched outlet, usually in the most inconvenient spot to put a floor lamp." implies that the outlets are actually receptacles.
