Why do I have a large PVC pipe venting warm air outside intermittently? maybe put some lattice around the vents some kind of barrier between the deck and vents |

How can I replace these light switches? it'd help if you'd draw a picture. the "hole in the back" is almost always an alternate to the screw beside it, allowing easier installation. you should look into how exactly a switch works. finally, i'd recommend buying a non-contact voltage tester; it'll tell you which wire(s) are from the source (prob wire 2) and which are going to the lights. |

My house has steel “2x4s” in the walls, can I hang cabinets, a TV, or some other heavy item from them? think about all the weight that stud is already carrying.. shingles + roof and side sheathing + siding + etc. Of course, the weight is distributed across a bunch of them |

Is there a way to sound proof my basement while I've got part of the ceiling open? "sound proof" was probably a little high-hoping for my situation. "better sound proof" |

Mould on the inside of a bitumen corrugated sheet the top side looks normal then? is the top side a different finish (e.g. waterproofing)? in any event, ventilation is a good idea.. |

Mould on the inside of a bitumen corrugated sheet the coloration and pattern definitely makes it look like mold. can you take a cotton swab and scrape some off or is the coloration inside/part of the roof? also, if you have no ventilation, it may (or may not) be a good idea to to take out some bricks in the top rows. maybe every 4th or 5th or something to give it an aesthetic appearance (as well as functional).. |

Does anything need to be done to prep the ground before building a low height deck? more durable; no splinters; doesn't warp; keeps color. my family has a small lake cabin that used to have an old wood deck. man, if you didn't wear sandals on that thing, you were priming for a splinter. we replaced it with a composite deck and it's worlds better. it is a high traffic area, whereas yours might be used a lot less... |

Is it possible to refinish floors one room at a time? putting in transition strips will ruin the flow that continuous wood floors give you |

Can I hang a bathroom shelf with command strips or something similar? if it says in the agreement "any holes larger than a standard hanging nail will result in a total charge of $75" OR "$37.50 /large hole", then the challenge would surely fail. |

Can I hang a bathroom shelf with command strips or something similar? landlords can't charge too much for spackling, paint, and "labor". |
