That would certainly be a potential problem. But I would also like to learn more about potential voltage drop issues (damaging equipment) and the safety issues for devices that require an RCD.

Update: Last night I opened up the foot switch in an Ikea lamp to find a switch that was rated for "3A at 125V". Not really sure what to make of that!
