comment Master-Slave type Thermostat?
@MichaelKaras Each thermostat (analog) controls a different zone (i.e. T1 controls Bedroom 1&2, T2 -> Bedroom 3&4, T3 -> Living Room, T4 -> Kitchen and rest). As far as I know, in the utilities closet there's these four devices with wires coming out of them which I'm told are the individual heating zone controllers. The AC is completely separate.

The power supply says 800 mA and 19.2 W... the wire on the power supply is only 24 gauge but it's stranded.

Thanks for the answer. So there's nothing I can do... but how come those portable A/Cs have fan speed settings?

comment Plug HRV (Constructo 2.0 ES) into power bar?
Nah, I just remember reading somewhere that large appliances could potentially be damaged if using cheap power bars or not plugged directly into a wall.

comment Plug HRV (Constructo 2.0 ES) into power bar?
I remember reading somewhere or someone said something about plugging in A/Cs or other large appliances into power bars was a bad idea and could potentially damage the appliance and that they should be plugged directly into the wall socket. I just wanted to make sure before I do that.
