comment Running cat 6 networking cable in the attic: what is up to code?
CAT6 cable runs such low voltage (2.5 volts peak). If it were me I wouldn't worry too much about code for my own residence. If you are worried, I'd follow guidelines for copper telephone knowing that POTS lines have a lot more voltage than CAT6 you should be safe.

There are a few signs of a failing PRV. Noisy pipes, although this is a bit ambiguous as other things cause noisy pipes as well. Drop or spike in water pressure. Also when you put a water pressure gauge on a hose spigot, check if the needle steadily reaches a psi reading (healthy sign) or seems to wobble as it climes the readings (it may be going out).

You said you disconnected the switch that is in the pan. Did you just disconnect it or actually bypassing it by bridging the terminals?
