Can I use flexible LED strips to get better lighting in my kitchen? I would also look at websites that sell LED strips for home/car/boat usage. You can get a lot of light for a few bucks. Here's a good example, from a site I use all the time: 12V Home LED Light Bar System |

How long should I run my pool pump for? Bear in mind that depending on the condition of your pump and piping, the pump may need to be primed after a few start/stop cycles. So running it on a timer may cause problems. |

What does a Summer/Winter switch on furnace air ducts do? I checked, and the Summer/Winter duct is indeed a bypass for humidified air (I assume this is because it would be bad for the furnace/filter to have humid air go through them). I don't know if I will turn on the humidifier though; it looks very ancient, and it at least needs a new water panel! |
