I'm a linux system administrator by day and by night. Among the many other things I do, I also run the climagic twitter/identica feed, I wrote the #1 ssh tutorial on the net, wrote num-utils and clide, which are available from various distributions of Linux.

I was wondering if maybe it was at an angle as well so I took a torpedo level too it and measured on two sides.

Yes, its a drain with an overflow. I let the silicone cure for 4 hours, which is 1 hour longer than the directions.

Heh, that's funny, I thought this was a home improvement help site for Do-It-Yourselfers. I think I'm capable of making smart decisions about protecting myself from the dangers of electricity and am no stranger to working with it. I just have little experience with hot tubs. Also, the so called hot tub professionals might as well be amateur electricians from what I've seen.
