Should tile floors be cleaned with vinegar only? Is the advice against using other solutions a myth? Yeah, apparently essential oils aren't considered oils. I think, having used other cleaners before on the tile, the only thing is that the grout changes color a bit. As long as the tile and grout are not actually damaged or badly stained, it's fine. My biggest concern was the line "[Do not] use a detergent or soap because it may dull the surface and potentially promote the growth of mildew." I'm assuming pine-sol and similar floor cleaners are not considered that? |

Should tile floors be cleaned with vinegar only? Is the advice against using other solutions a myth? Sorry, the question was edited in a way that changed the meaning of my question, I have since updated to better reflect my original intent. I understand vinegar can be a good cleaner, but my question was wondering about other cleaners (like Pine Sol, Swiffer WetJet®, etc.) and if they actually do any damage to tile or grout (we have like beige colored tiled and grout). |

What's the best way of replacing a plug or switch in a house with aluminum wiring? Added CPSC link. |

What's the best way of replacing a plug or switch in a house with aluminum wiring? You still have the problem of oxidation. When the connection oxidizes, it increases resistance, which ultimately means heat. I'll update my post with a link to the CPSC document on aluminum wiring. |

Sediment in well water @gregmac Didn't figure out what type of well it is. I found a couple candidates, but they were essentially large PVC tubes with a cover, and the inside was filled with sand. I may try digging a bit to see if there's a second cover under the sand, but essentially there's just like a faucet under there (can't turn it). |

Sediment in well water I have no idea, only lived there for about a year now, but I'm assuming drilled. We had heavy rains before and no problems. I also live not too far from a large lake, if that makes any difference. |
