comment Fix a copper pipe leak
If the copper pipe is for water not gas, you can drain the pipe so that at least a couple of feet below the joint is free of water, then clean the joint, apply flux, protect adjacent walls and fitting, heat the joint with a blowtorch and apply solder. There's a chance you'll make the situation better rather than worse.

comment What considerations do I need when wiring a string of light bulbs in parallel?
In the UK, modern 5A lighting circuits are fixed wiring in the ceiling. A DIY vanity mirror is more likely to be plugged into a general BS1363 13A socket on a 32A circuit. In this case the plug must always be fitted with an appropriate fuse (e.g. 2A).

comment Electrical tester says its hot but nothing is working
What sort of tester are you using? Can it distinguish hot/live from neutral? can it measure voltage. Could a wire-nut or other joint have loosened and created a high-resistance joint that drops voltage?

So, removed, like, weasel/filler words. So it would be, like, you know, clearer.

comment AFCI & GFCI nuisance tripping
I'd suspect a ground/neutral wiring fault. Household supply voltage is easily measured with a Cat II multimeter.

@user20786: Please remember that this is a Q&A site not a discussion forum. You can edit your question if it seems more information is needed in order for people to write a good answer. Comments should ideally only be used to suggest improvements to the answers. A long fragmented monologue is not a useful asset to this Q&A site and may not be helpful to people in future searching for answers to a similar problem. I suggest you edit the important parts of your comments into your question concisely and delete the comments.

comment How to SLIGHTLY widen bored hole in 2x6
@DMoore: I do. I don't. ;-) Obviously, it helps if you frequently stop to test and finish off carefully with a rounded file. If you seek perfection you probably throw away the wrongly bored 2x6s and buy a new set of 2x6s and the right sized hole-cutter for the pipe (or maybe vice-versa).
