comment Is it worth spending extra to get a nicer circular saw?
Yet another vote for Ryobi - I bought their "cheap" circular saw for $40 at Home Depot, and the thing is a champ. Sure, it doesn't have a laser-guided sight, but it had no problem cutting concrete wetboard with a concrete blade. I own several different Ryobi-brand tools and have had no problems with any.

comment How soon can I use my shower that I recently grouted and tiled? Should it cure first?
You've convinced me - up goes the plastic! It's definitely been an experience. The only thing left now is to seal the tub with caulk. Thanks!

We actually ended up tearing out all of the old drywall and retiling the whole surround instead. You can check out the finished product at this question. Thanks for the advice!

comment What projects should never be DIY?
The lady (yeah, a girl!) who replaced my busted spring last winter showed me how the tools she had worked for tightening down the spring, and then told me about a guy she worked with who had his arm broken in 8 places when the leverage bar slipped and the spring unwound. Yikes

comment The pilot light won't ignite on my boiler — what I should check?
@Jeff done, as requested, and thanks! I added it as a comment at first, since I've never seen a boiler and had no idea if it would apply
