How would I go about turning a tree in to a tabletop? @woodchips - I didn't know what spalted meant until googling after reading your comment. I had no idea that effect was from fungi. I'd love to see a picture of the bowl! |

How would I go about turning a tree in to a tabletop? Great information, thanks for taking the time. Yes, it does look like I might be biting off more than I can chew. Perhaps I will try anyway, and risk a failed experiment - I can always use extra firewood ;) |

Why is a single walled pipe not used for wood stove exhaust pipe on upper floors? I can understand the rational when the pipe is passing though the actual floor/ceiling materials, but what about the room in between? Perhaps it's just a case of keeping things simple... |
